Summary of the story
In New York City, Jang Myong-jun, the leader of a North Korean terrorist organization, was scheduled to be transferred to Pyongyang. However, FBI officials were attacked by North Korean gangsters, resulting in Myong-jun's escape. Utilizing a fake passport and the assistance of his partner, Kim Chul-soo, a former agent and scientist, Myong-jun absconded with US$1 billion and made his way to Seoul. Upon learning of this, the North Korean government dispatched Im Cheol-ryong to Seoul to apprehend Myong-jun and recover the stolen funds. Cheol-ryeong reunited with Kang Jin-tae to resume the investigation, but their efforts were impeded by FBI agent Jack, who sought to bring the North Korean criminals to justice for the murder of FBI officials.
After agreeing to collaborate, the operation expanded to a trilateral effort between the Koreans and Americans. During a meeting at the hotel, Cheol-ryeong revealed that Myong-jun was his former senior and a former North Korean agent. Jack disclosed that he had received correspondence from Adolf Bohrmann two months prior, instructing him to capture Myong-jun. Jack also suspected that Michael Joe, a crime boss, was aiding Myong-jun in money laundering and had betrayed him to steal the stolen funds.
The following day, the trio decided to track Sergey, the individual responsible for providing Myong-jun with a fake passport and illegal cell phones. They followed Sergey's girlfriend, Natasha, a Russian model, to a shopping excursion. Jin-tae attempted to plant a bug in her home but was attacked by Sergey.
