Summary of the story
The kingdom of Lucis, renowned for its enchanting qualities, is the sole possessor of the world's last remaining Crystal. However, the empire of Niflheim, notorious for its menacing nature, has set its sights on acquiring this precious gem. To safeguard his kingdom, King Regis of Lucis has assembled a formidable group of soldiers known as the Kingsglaive, who wield their king's magic to defend their homeland. Despite their valiant efforts, the empire's overwhelming military power poses a grave threat to Lucis. In a desperate bid to save his kingdom, King Regis is presented with an impossible ultimatum - to wed his son, Prince Noctis, to Princess Lunafreya of Tenebrae, who is being held captive by Niflheim, and relinquish his lands to Niflheim's rule. Although the king reluctantly agrees, it soon becomes apparent that the empire will stop at nothing to achieve their nefarious objectives, with only the Kingsglaive standing in their way of achieving global domination.
